so i was going to Medan on the new year, visiting families and relatives there. it was for the second time i went there since 8 years ago or so. anyway, i tried to explore this city furthermore. so here's my exploration :
1. Toba lake.
the biggest lake in Indonesia. located in Parapat and it took around 3-4 hours from Medan. you got fresh air you wouldn't find in Jakarta. beside that, you could ride speed boat here. *sadly i didn't have much time to ride the speed boat since we were in hurry to visit our family.
2. “Rahmat” International Wildlife Museum & Gallery
it's located in S.Parman street on the center of the city. There are various species of animals from all over the world hunted by Rahmat Shah the professional hunter. more info access here
3. Badak
no this isn't a rhinoceros. this is a beverage. it tasted like sarsaparilla.
4. Meranti sponge cake roll
located in Kruing street. it's the only place selling their product in this world (haha okay this is exaggeration, but yes, they don't create any branch to sell it). you'd better to go in before afternoon cause usually it is sold out early.
5. Becak Medan
it's quite different with the other cab in Jakarta. it's more like a motorcycle with its machine on it. you can sit on the cab and also behind the driver lol.

anyway, that's a bit exploration of mine in Medan. waiting for another exploration in another cities. cheers!
